MES Sumgayit Regional Center holds exercise (photo)

The Sumgayit Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations held an exercise on the theme “Search and rescue operation of a missing person in a forested area in snowy weather”.

The aim of the exercise was to improve rescuers’ knowledge and skills in the organization and conduct of rescue operations, including the rescue of victims left helpless in mountainous and forested areas under cold and snowy weather conditions, as well as to enhance the effective incident management skills of rescue team commanders.

During the exercise, rescuers conducted a search for a simulated missing person in a forested area under snowy and foggy weather conditions, determined the individual’s location deep within the forest, and, using special rescue tools and equipment, “rescued” the person and ensured “evacuation”.

In the end, the results of the exercise were analyzed and relevant tasks were given.
