MES North-Western Regional Center holds 12th “Young rescuer and firefighter” Republic Competitions

The zone championship of the 12th “Young rescuer and firefighter” Republic Competitions was held at the North-Western Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The championship was organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education and Ministry of Youth and Sports. The aim of the event was to check the physical and intellectual level of pupils in preparation for emergencies, to increase responsibility for personal and public safety, and to instill a healthy lifestyle in the young generation.

After the performance of the State Anthem at the opening ceremony, the Head of the North-Western Regional Center, Colonel Jeyhun Babayev spoke about the importance of the competition and wished success to the participants.

Educational institutions from cities and districts covered by the North-Western Regional Center participated in the competition.

The competition consisted of two stages: "Combined fire relay" and "Barriers zone".

According to the results of the competitions, team of secondary school named after Rauf Babashov of Jamjamli village, Gobustan district took the first place, team of secondary school No. 2 named after Hikmat Rashidov of Vandam settlement, Gabala district took the second place and secondary school No. 6 named after Natig Behdiyev of Ismayilli city took the third place.

The team that won the competition was qualified for the republic stage of the “Young rescuer and firefighter” competitions.
