Fire safety in grain fields
The following fire safety rules must be observed in grain fields:
- It is strictly banned to smoke, use matches or open fire in grain fields, as well as make bonfires near grain fields! There should be a special place for smoking in these places!
- Do not throw cigarette butts or matches, materials soaked with flammable liquids, as well as glassware and glass fragments around;
- The surroundings of grain fields must be periodically cleaned of dry grass and waste, and a mineral (safety) strip must be laid by plowing with a width of not less than 4 meters;
- Machinery involved in harvesting must be provided with primary fire extinguishing means, fire-technical examination must be carried out before starting harvesting;
- It is strictly banned to leave equipment in fields after work, refuel at night and spill fuel and oils around;
- Field camps, areas where hay bales are collected must be provided with primary fire extinguishers;
- In case of fire, stop work immediately, inform the people around, try to extinguish the fire with primary fire extinguishing means and call "112" hotline.
