Terror
Terror is an explosion, fire, and other actions that threaten to kill people, harm their health, and cause significant damage to property or other public danger, as well as the threat of committing such actions.
To avoid becoming a victim of a terrorist attack:
-be vigilant in places where people gather in large numbers,
-inform the "102" or "112" hotline when you see any unattended items, suspicious people;
-if you feel that the parcel is dangerous, do not accept it;
When notified by phone about the planning of a terrorist incident:
- if possible, note the called number;
- try to get as much information as possible from the caller;
- remember exactly what is said to you;
- inform "102" or "112" hotline.
Explosive device hazard:
- signs of an explosive device: a stretched wire, insulating tape, hearing a special sound, a small antenna, a wire extending from under the car, an unattended bag, box, package, etc.;
- if you see a suspicious item, stay away from it, immediately inform the "102" or "112" hotline and warn the people around you;
- do not use a radio device and a mobile phone near a suspicious item;
- remember: only specialists should defuse the explosive device. Do not under any circumstances touch such a device or try to defuse it.
What to do in case of an explosion:
-get as far away from the explosive device as possible, lie on the ground, and protect your head with your hands. At this time, put your legs towards the explosive device;
- hide behind any stone or concrete barrier to avoid shrapnel. For this, do not choose plastic, glass or wooden barriers, advertising boards;
- do not stand up immediately after feeling the blast wave pass.
In case of terrorist attack:
-try to get away from the scene as much as possible, inform the "102" or "112" hotline;
- follow the instructions of the relevant institutions;
- prepare for an emergency evacuation;
- try not to fall in the fast-moving crowd;
- if you are injured, try to cover the wound with the cloth material and stop the bleeding;
- if you are under debris, try to attract attention with sound and knocking and move carefully to avoid an avalanche;
- if you feel a strange smell around, breathe by covering your mouth and nose with a multi-layer wet cloth material;
- help children, the elderly and those who need help.
If you are taken hostage:
- don't panic. Be sure that the employees of the relevant institutions are trying to save you;
- do not come into a conflict with the hostage taker. Especially in the first hours, follow all their instructions;
- do not attract attention with your behavior, do not actively resist;
- if you are not sure that you can escape by running away, do not try it;
- if you are injured, move less;
- do not refuse to eat. This will help you to stay strong and healthy;
- stay away from the door and window as well as the terrorist. This is important for your safety during rescue operations. If a shooting occurs, lie down and protect your head with both hands;
- don't make rash statements after being saved.
