A range of awareness-raising events held for users of small-sized vessels

The State Service for Control over Small-Sized Vessels and Water Rescue of the Ministry of Emergency Situations held a range of events to raise awareness of small-sized vessel users on the relevant safety rules.

The next events on the theme "Safe operation of small-sized vessels" were held in "Narakand" area of Pirallahi district of Baku city, in Nabran settlement of Khachmaz district, on the Caspian Sea coast of Lankaran city, in the coastal part of the Mingachevir Reservoir within the territory of Goranboy district, and in Yenikand village of Neftchala district.

The users of small-sized vessels, including fishing entities engaged in the industrial fishing of fish and other aquatic bioresources, were informed about the supply equipment of such vessels during the events. Norms were explained on the existing requirements for technical inspection of small-sized vessels. The importance of technical inspection of water transport vehicles in line with the legislation, as well as obtaining driving licenses were noted. The drivers of small-sized vessels were also informed on the rules of using collective and personal rescue means, as well as navigation equipment.

Awareness-raising brochures were distributed among the participants at the end of the events.
