Event on forest fire safety held in Lankaran district

A conference was held in the forested area of ​​Lankaran district by the Southern Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations on theme "Implementation of preventive measures against possible fires in the forest funds and specially protected areas."

The event was attended by employees of relevant local agencies of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, representatives of local executive and self-government bodies, and village residents.

During the event, the speakers highlighted the importance of the topic and emphasized the benefits of taking preventive measures against fires and expanding fire safety awareness efforts.

It was noted that it is of great importance in preventing fires for entrepreneurs, farmers, villagers living near forests engaged in agriculture in forest and green areas, and people involved in livestock breeding and crop cultivation to be careful with fire and strictly follow fire safety rules.

During the event, a simulated forest fire response was demonstrated to participants, involving the personnel and equipment of local bodies of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources. The demonstration also showed the creation of a 6–8 meter-wide safety strip around the forest area by plowing the land using specialized machinery.
