MES holds conference on fire safety in Mughan district

The Ministry of Emergency Situations, in accordance with its powers, continues to take necessary measures with the view of ensuring fire safety in the agricultural sector, including raising awareness of the population in this field.

In this context, the Ministry's Mughan Regional Center, together with the State Fire Control Service, held a regional conference to prevent fire accidents while collecting, delivering, storing and processing cereals and industrial crops, as well as to ensure fire safety in forests.

The event was attended by responsible employees of MES local structures, executive authorities of the regions covered by the Regional Center and police departments, authorized representatives of the Regional Forestry Center and Shirvan National Park of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the State Agrarian Development Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, municipal chairmen, and owners of large farms.

At the conference, the issue was brought to the attention of the relevant organizations regarding the ensuring of fire safety during the collection, delivery, storage, and processing of cereals and industrial crops, as well as in the case of fire accidents in forests and forest-fringed areas. Additionally, the timely removal of dry grass, bushes, and household waste that pose a fire hazard in open areas was highlighted. Relevant rules on fire safety were explained.

The importance of conducting awareness-raising events on this topic among the population by local organizations was emphasized during the event.

Extensive discussions were held on the topic, necessary recommendations were given, and questions were answered at the conference.
