Another award ceremony held at MES as part of “Emergency situations volunteers” program (video, photo)

On September 17, 2026, a ceremony to award certificates to the next group of volunteers was held in the assembly hall of the administrative building of the Ministry of Emergency Situations within the framework of the “Emergency situations volunteers” program.

The event was attended by the Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel General Kamaladdin Heydarov, relevant officials of the Ministry, Acting Executive Director of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Yusif Valiyev, Chairman of the Union of Volunteer Organizations of Azerbaijan, Vugar Aliyev and emergency situations volunteers.

The event started as the State Anthem was played. Then a video clip about the "Emergency situations volunteers" program was shown.

Later, the cup of the "Victory League” football tournament held among youth, volunteer and student organizations on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of our historic Victory in the Patriotic War, in which the emergency situations volunteers were the winners and were awarded, was presented to Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov.

Minister K. Heydarov then addressed the event. Emphasizing that the state youth policy founded by National Leader Heydar Aliyev in our country is being successfully continued by Mr. President Ilham Aliyev, and that young people are constantly surrounded by the attention and care of the head of state, the Minister noted that this progressive policy has resulted in the development of a modern-minded and patriotic Azerbaijani youth. He emphasized that the bravery shown by our heroic youth in the Patriotic War, under the wise leadership of the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, gave us a historic Victory.

Minister K. Heydarov said that the beginning and development of the volunteer movement in our country are associated with the name of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. He noted that, under the leadership of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, who successfully continues the wise policy of the National Leader in this area as well as in all other spheres, every opportunity has been created in our country for volunteer activities to be carried out and for young people to realize their potential.

The Minister emphasized that the dedication demonstrated and projects carried out by First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, who always shows care and attention toward young people, in implementing the state youth policy and developing the volunteer movement are commendable. The measures implemented in the field of work with young people contribute to the development of Azerbaijani youth and play an important role in helping them find their place in society.

K. Heydarov noted that as a result of the effective activities carried out in our country towards the development of volunteer organizations, the “Emergency situations volunteers” program was established in the field of preventing emergencies and eliminating their consequences. He stated that the program has produced a large number of volunteers equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills in line with the areas of activities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

At the end of his speech, the Minister congratulated the emergency situations volunteers who had acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills in combating emergencies within the framework of the socially beneficial volunteer movement, and expressed his confidence that they would actively participate in the activities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations with the aim of ensuring the safety of the population and territories.

Then, Acting Executive Director of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Yusif Valiyev and Chairman of the Union of Volunteer Organizations of Azerbaijan, Vugar Aliyev spoke about the stages in the development of volunteer activities in our country, including the establishment and successful expansion of the “Emergency situations volunteers” program in a short period of time, and highlighted the importance of volunteering.

The volunteers were presented with certificates at the end of the event.
