Appeal from Ministry of Emergency Situations to the population regarding expected weather conditions in some regions

According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, the weather in the regions of the republic is expected to be intermittently rainy in the coming days, with heavy rain and hail in some areas, short-term flooding in some mountain rivers, lightning, and strong winds in several regions.

In light of this forecast, the Ministry of Emergency Situations once again reminds the public to adhere to the relevant safety rules.

It is recommended to stay away from lightweight and temporary structures, buildings, and billboards, and avoid standing under electric poles, wires, or tall trees during strong winds. Additionally, due to the challenges that strong winds pose to firefighting efforts, it is particularly important to follow fire safety rules in windy conditions.

Given the possibility of floods caused by heavy rains, it is advised to stay away from flood-prone areas and, in the event of danger, immediately move to higher ground nearby.

To protect yourself from lightning, it is recommended to unplug electrical appliances, avoid talking on the phone, steer clear of power lines, lightning transmitters, and antennas when outdoors, and not to seek shelter under tall trees. If caught outside, choose a relatively low-lying area for shelter. If you are in a car, stop and keep the windows up until the lightning subsides.

Additionally, considering the risk of avalanches in some high-mountain areas due to rising temperatures and westerly winds, it is advised to avoid avalanche-prone areas, including steep slopes.

Remember: Indifference to the rules is a threat to our lives!
