Chronicle of the past week (video)

Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues to fulfill its responsibilities, including the protection of the population and territories from natural and man-made emergency situations.

Thus, over the past week, based on calls received by the “112” hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, rescue operations were carried out by the relevant agencies of the Ministry in response to 747 fire accidents, 49 cases of helplessness, 4 traffic accidents and 1 suicide attempt. As a result of the quick and urgent measures taken, the fires were extinguished operatively and people's lives were saved.

In total, over the past week, the forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations rescued 64 people (9 of whom were minors). 41 people (7 of whom were minors) were evacuated. The bodies of 9 people were handed over to the relevant authorities.
