As reported, an explosion occurred in a private residential house in Novkhani Baghlar estate, Sahil street, Sumgayit city, and forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were immediately deployed to the area.

Thanks to the prompt search and rescue activities carried out by rescuers, two people were removed alive from under the rubble and handed over to the relevant authorities.

The incident is being investigated by the relevant agencies.
