The “112” hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received information about a traffic accident and a fire that occurred in B. Chobanzade street, Nizami district of the capital.
In response to the information, the forces of the MES State Fire Protection Service were immediately deployed to the area.
While assessing the operational conditions at the scene, it was determined that the collision between a "Volkswagen" and a "Porsche" model cars damaged a gas pipeline running along the roadside, causing a fire to break out in the pipeline.
Thanks to the prompt intervention of firefighters, the fire in the gas pipeline was extinguished in a short time.
The cars, the wooded area and the surrounding areas were protected from the fire.
