The "112" hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received information about a fire accident in a residential building in N. Narimanov street of Sumgayit city.

The forces of the Sumgayit city Fire Protection Department of the MES State Fire Protection Service were involved.

Thanks to the prompt intervention of firefighters, the fire that broke out in an apartment on the fourth floor of a five-story residential building was quickly extinguished, preventing it from spreading to other apartments.

As a result of the fire, flammable structures of one room of a two-room apartment with a total area of 40 sq m burned over an area of 10 sq m. Firefighters rescued one person whose life was in danger in the apartment where the fire broke out using a ladder truck, and evacuated the residents of the building.

Most of the apartment and other apartments were protected from the fire.
