The "112" hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received information about a fire in a residential building in the "Gobu Park-1" residential complex in Lokbatan settlement of Garadagh district of the capital.

In response to the information, the forces of the State Fire Protection Service and Special Risky Rescue Service of the MES were immediately involved in the area.

The fire that broke out in the apartment on the seventh floor of the nine-story residential building was extinguished by firefighters in a short time, preventing it from spreading to other apartments.

As a result of the fire, the flammable structures of the kitchen and hallway of the two-room apartment with a total area of 45 sq m burned in an area of 13 sq m. 4 people lost their lives during the fire.

The rest of the apartment and other apartments were protected from the fire.

The residents of the building were evacuated as part of safety measures.
