MES hosts awarding ceremony for emergency volunteers

On May 29, 2024, a ceremony of awarding certificates to emergency volunteers was held in the assembly hall of the administrative building of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The event was attended by the Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov,  relevant officials of the Ministry, Chairman of the Union of Voluntary Organizations of Azerbaijan, Yusif Valiyev, and emergency volunteers.

The event started as the State Anthem was played. Then a video clip about the "Emergency Volunteers" program was shown.

Then Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov made a speech at the event. The Minister emphasized that the beginning and development of the volunteering movement in our country is associated with the name of  Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. He said that since the first years of the National Leader's leadership in Azerbaijan, the value given to the human factor, the care given to young people, the promotion of young people in education and public affairs to high positions, and the creation of favorable conditions for their development also gave impetus to the start of the volunteer movement and its development in the following years.

K. Heydarov emphasized that under the wise leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev, who successfully continues the progressive policy of the Great Leader in all fields, all conditions were created in Azerbaijan for the development of young people, the effective use of their potential and volunteering activities, and the necessary legal basis was formed in this direction.

The minister emphasized the great services rendered by First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, who always cares for young people, in the successful implementation of the state youth policy in our country, including the developing of volunteer activities.

K. Heydarov noted that the next group of volunteers had already been selected within the framework of the "Emergency Volunteers" program. The minister congratulated the emergency volunteers who enthusiastically acquired practical skills in the field of emergency situations and were successful in the competition, and expressed his confidence that they would closely participate in the activities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Chairman of the Union of Voluntary Organizations of Azerbaijan, Yusif Valiyev spoke about the development of volunteering activities in our country and the success of the Emergency Volunteers program in this context.

The representatives of emergency volunteers - Nazira Rahimli and Arif Aslanov expressed their gratitude for the conditions created for the realization of their knowledge and skills at the ceremony.

The volunteers were presented with certificates at the end of the event.
