State Agency for Safe Working in Industry and Mountain-Mining Control of the Ministry of Emergency Situations continues to take the necessary measures within its authority to ensure safety in industry and mining operations.
In this context, the Agency's inspectors conducted a planned inspection of 6 elevators in a residential building belonging to the "Gayghi" Housing Construction Cooperative, located in Jeyhun Hasanov street, Khatai district, Baku.
During the inspection, it was determined that the elevators were being operated without complying with relevant safety rules, and also posed a threat to human life and health.
Taking into account the above-mentioned, the operation of the elevators was suspended and the issue was raised with the "Gayghi" Housing Construction Cooperative to eliminate the violations found regarding technical safety. Furthermore, a relevant act was drawn up, and the representative of the enterprise was explained that the elevators could only be put back into operation upon the elimination of the violations. It was also explained that the Housing Construction Cooperative bears legal responsibility for any accidents that may occur as a result of operating the said equipment without complying with the relevant requirements.
