MES suspended operation of liquefied gas filling stations (video, photo)

The State Agency for Safe Working in Industry and Mountain-Mining Control of the Ministry of Emergency Situations continues to take necessary measures within its powers to ensure safety in industry and mining operations.

In this context, the Agency's inspectors conducted an inspection at a liquefied gas filling stations owned by private entrepreneur Mehdiyev Sardar Rahbar oglu, in Nij settlement and Zaraghan village of Gabala district according to the plan.

Violations that could pose a threat to human life and health were identified in the facilities during the inspection.

Thus, it was determined that internal inspection and hydraulic testing of a total of 4 liquefied gas tanks had not been conducted. Additionally, there was no act on periodic inspections of safety valves, rubber pipes used during unloading of liquefied gas from tankers to stationary capacities and filling of cylinders, as well as other equipment, and no protocol regarding the grounding resistance of the buildings and equipment of the stations.

Taking into account that it is not possible to immediately eliminate the detected shortcomings and that these pose a threat to human life and health, the operation of the liquefied gas filling stations was suspended by the employees of the Agency. A copy of the act drawn up to eliminate the violations was submitted to the entrepreneur.
