Strong wind
If the wind speed exceeds 20 m/s, the wind is considered strong.
When the relevant authorities issue a strong wind warning, try not to go outside unless absolutely necessary.
If you are outdoors during the strong wind:
- try to hide in places where you can be protected from the wind (basement, strong building, etc.);
- stay away from light-structured and temporary constructions, buildings and billboards;
- do not stand under electric poles and wires or tall trees;
- stay away from broken power lines;
- be careful, protect yourself from flying items;
- do not park vehicles near large-trunked trees, light structured buildings, billboards, and electric poles;
- do not go into the sea;
- take into account the difficulties caused by strong wind in extinguishing the fires, especially strictly follow fire safety rules in such weather conditions;
- follow the latest information from the authorities and observe the recommendations.
