The Ministry of Emergency Situations has operated in an enhanced mode with the view of ensuring the safety of citizens' lives and activities, quickly responding to emergencies that may occur at life support and other important facilities and organizing urgent elimination of their possible consequences related to Eid al-Adha holiday.
During the non-working days related to holiday, based on calls received by the “112” hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, rescue operations were carried out by the relevant agencies of the Ministry in response to 230 fire accidents, 20 cases of helplessness, 2 traffic accidents and 2 suicide attempts. As a result of the quick and urgent measures taken, the fires were extinguished operatively and people's lives were saved.
In total, over the holiday, 28 people (8 of whom were minors) were rescued, 2 people were evacuated, 4 people were injured, and the bodies of 4 people were handed over to the authorities by MES forces.
