Public Council under MES holds another meeting on fire safety

On July 15, 2022, a meeting of the Public Council under the MES was held on the activity of the State Fire Control Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The meeting aimed at public discussing the activity carried out by the State Fire Control Service on ensuring fire safety in the country, the work done and the tasks ahead in the direction of holding awareness-raising events on possible fires in the forest, arable areas and harvested grain fields during the summer.

Chairman of the Public Council Fuad Hajizade and other members of the Council, Deputy Chief of the MES Main Department for Oganization of Activities with Regional Centers, Project Management and Educational Affairs Gunduz Hamzayev, Head of the Sector of Public Relations Department Parviz Jafarov, Deputy Head of the State Fire Control Service, internal service colonel Agshin Kazimov and the employees of the Service attended the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Head of the Service, A. Kazimov gave detailed information about the work done by the body he represents in the direction of ensuring fire safety in the country, also upcoming tasks. It was noted that the State Fire Control Service, within its competence, carried out fire control at the strategically important oil-gas and energy facilities, public facilities, transport and other fields, provided control over the compliance with the requirements of fire safety norms and rules of the buildings and devices being designed, constructed and under operation, raised awareness of people on fire safety at educational and healthcare enterprises, commercial facilities, administrative, industrial and production facilities, agricultural and residential areas, held regional seminars-conferences and conferences on the provision of fire safety in the field of agriculture, as well as in forest areas, took administrative measures against enterprises that do not comply with the law and violate fire safety requirements within its competence.

Evaluating the activities of the Service in general positively, the members of the Public Council noted the importance of joint action with relevant institutions on fire prevention.

During the meeting, which was held in an atmosphere of mutual exchange of views, the members of the Public Council expressed their opinions and suggestions on issues of ensuring fire safety.
