Appeal from Ministry of Emergency Situations to the population regarding expected rainy and unstable weather conditions

According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, heavy rainfall is forecast in some areas from the evening of June 24 through June 29. Thunderstorms are also expected, and some mountain rivers may experience short-term flooding.

Taking into account the above-mentioned, the Ministry of Emergency Situations once again reminds of the relevant safety rules.

It is recommended to stay away from areas prone to floods and flash floods to protect yourself from floods and flash floods that may be caused by heavy rainfall, and to immediately climb to a nearby height when faced with this danger.

To protect yourself from lightning, it is recommended to unplug electrical appliances, avoid talking on the phone. Steer clear of power lines, lightning transmitters, and antennas when outdoors, not to seek shelter under tall trees, try to find a relatively low-lying area for shelter. If you are in a car, stop driving, keep the windows closed, and wait until the lightning storm is over.
