MES organized complex civil defense exercise in Khatai district (video, photo)

Baku Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations organized a complex civil defense exercise on the topic "Organization of management of civil defense bodies and forces during the elimination of the consequences of large-scale emergency events" at the "High Technologies Park" LLC of the Ministry of Science and Education in Khatai district of Baku.

The exercie was attended by the Head of the MES Baku Regional Center, Major General Maharram Hasanov, Deputy Head of the Khatai District Executive Authority Etibar Ahmadov, Chief Engineer of the "High Technologies Park" LLC of the Ministry of Science and Education Rahim Heydarov, representatives of relevant local bodies of the MES, the District Emergency Situations Commission, Civil Defense Headquarters of the Executive Authority, heads of departments, enterprises and organizations and persons responsible for civil defense, civil defense services of the district, territorial and facility civil defense teams.

The aim of the exercise was to ensure the effective implementation of civil defense measures to protect the population and territories during emergencies, to make timely and correct decisions regarding the management of civil defense forces, as well as to further improve the practical skills of personnel in organizing and conducting rescue operations.

First, a conference was held at the headquarters designated for the exercise in Khatai district regarding the complex civil defense exercise. Making a speech at the meeting, the Head of the Baku Regional Center, Major General Maharram Hasanov spoke about the importance of civil defense during emergencies and the implementation of civil defense measures, emphasized the importance of mutual activity of management bodies in this field, and noted the importance of mutual activity in eliminating the consequences of emergencies.

Deputy Head of the Khatai District Executive Authority Etibar Ahmadov spoke about the importance of the exercise and emphasized that the joint and coordinated activities of civil defense bodies play an important role in ensuring the safety of the population.

Then, a complex civil defense exercise was launched. During the exercise, interaction between the forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and non-military civil defense units and organization of the work of the operational headquarters, and "rescue and other urgent measures" were successfully implemented in a simulated large-scale emergency.

A total of 156 staff members and 31 units of equipment were involved in the complex exercise. The interaction between the forces of the MES, district civil defense teams and services was organized at a high level and the set goals were achieved during the event.
