Conference on the topic of “Ensuring safety in water bodies” was held

The Southern Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, jointly with the State Service for Control over Small-Sized Vessels and Water Rescue, held a conference on the topic of “Ensuring safety in water bodies” at the Center’s administrative building.

The conference was attended by responsible officials of the Lankaran city Executive Authority and Astara district Executive Authority, administrative territorial offices, municipalities, beach operators, law enforcement units, emergency medical units, local hygiene and epidemiology centers and other relevant agencies, as well as representatives of coastal catering facilities.

During the conference, information was provided on the results of monitoring conducted at water bodies in the territories of the aforementioned districts. The identified deficiencies were presented through photo slides, and ways to eliminate them were discussed in detail.

Speakers at the conference also provided information on the rules for ensuring citizens’ safety at beaches during the summer season, the current state of awareness-raising activities, and the safety measures implemented at water bodies across the country.
