MES holds a series of events on "Flood hazard in spring and summer seasons"

In accordance with its powers, the Ministry of Emergency Situations continues to take necessary measures to ensure the safety of the country's population, including raising awareness of people on proper conduct during emergencies.

In this context, the regional centers of the Ministry held a series of events to raise the awareness of the population residing in flood-prone areas about protective measures against flood threats, which are particularly prevalent during the spring and summer seasons.

The next such awareness-raising events were held by the Southern Regional Center in Lankaran, Astara, Masalli and Lerik districts, the Mughan Regional Center in Salyan, Bilasuvar, Neftchala, Sabirabad districts and Shirvan city, the Karabakh Regional Center in Barda, Aghdam and Beylagan districts, the Sumgayit Regional Center in Khizi district, and the Northern Regional Center in flood-prone villages of Gusar district.

Detailed information was given on ways to protect against floods, and rules of behavior in case of such situations, and informative printed materials on the topic were distributed during meetings held with local residents, including employees of public catering facilities and tourists.
