Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov met with Slovakia's Interior Minister Matúš Šutaj Eštok
On July 14, in the city of Shusha, Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel General Kamaladdin Heydarov met with Slovakia's Interior Minister Matúš Šutaj Eštok, who arrived in Azerbaijan as part of a delegation accompanying the President of the Slovak Republic, Mr. Peter Pellegrini, during his official visit to our country.
At the meeting, it was noted with satisfaction that, thanks to the political foresight and mutual trust of the leaders of the two countries, Azerbaijan and Slovakia have established a strategic partnership based on friendship, mutual respect, and close cooperation. It was also emphasized that there is great potential for further developing cooperation between the relevant institutions of the two countries within this framework.
Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov provided Slovak Minister Matúš Šutaj Eštok with detailed information about the activities of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations, including the humanitarian demining operations being carried out in the liberated territories of Garabagh and East Zangezur. Confidence was expressed that the meeting will provide a solid foundation for cooperation and the exchange of experience between the two institutions in various areas of combating natural and man-made emergencies, including civil defense, risk assessment and the implementation of preventive measures, the organization of rescue operations, and other fields.
Slovakia's Interior Minister Matúš Šutaj Eštok expressed gratitude for the cordial meeting and noted the mutual benefit of using the existing potential for multifaceted cooperation in emergency management between the relevant institutions of Azerbaijan and Slovakia.
A broad exchange of views was held on issues of mutual interest during the meeting.
