Drought (extreme heats)
Drought is accompanied by much lower than normal precipitation, much higher air temperatures, and much lower humidity.
Extreme heats are characterized by air temperatures 10 degrees or higher than the average positive temperature.
How to be prepared for drought (extreme heats):
- stock up on large amount of water and use it sparingly;
- have an emergency pack handy with a certain amount of food, water, medical supplies, important documents, money, flashlight and warm clothes;
- try to have light-colored, light, especially cotton clothes suitable for the weather;
- regularly check that electric devices (fan, air conditioner, refrigerator, etc.) are in good condition.
What to do in case of drought (extreme heats):
- do not stay in the open air for too long if it is not necessary;
- use light-colored, light, especially cotton clothes;
- move without haste, try to stay more in the shade or in a cool place;
- do not use alcoholic beverages;
- take a cool shower, drink a lot of water without haste;
- remember that fire hazard increases during drought (extreme heats).
