Lightning
Lightning is a short-term dangerous electrical discharge that occurs between a thundercloud and the ground, accompanied by a strong roar and a bright spark. For this reason, we must follow a number of safety rules.
Lightning protection:
Facilities, buildings and various installations should have lightning rod to reduce the risk of damage from lightning.
Rules of behavior in case of lightning:
turn off the fire in the oven and gas, disconnect electrical appliances;
close windows and doors of the house, do not stand in front of the window;
do not talk on the phone;
do not get close to the power line, lightning rod and antenna;
do not stay under tall trees;
if you are in a plain, squat in the pit and hug your knees so as not to attract lightning as a high point;
if you are at a height, get down to the ground;
if you are on a boat or swimming in a water body, go ashore immediately;
remember that contact with metal items is dangerous (including watches, earrings, rings, sports equipment, etc.);
if you are in a car, stop moving, close the windows, and wait for the lightning to end;
if you drive a tractor, lawnmower, motorcycle or bicycle, immediately leave the vehicle and stay at least 30 meters away;
if you are in a group, keep a distance of at least 1.5 meters between you and others.
